WHAT OUR PARTNERS IN EDUCATION MEAN TO MANNING OAKS ELEMENTARY

MOE loves our Partners in Education (also called Business Partners)!!!!!!  These generous members of our community have helped through the years to enable Manning Oaks to be the school it is today. 

Of the countless number of requests they receive from me each year, they never fail to amaze me with their kind and caring support for our school.

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you just some of the ways they have contributed to make Manning Oaks so successful:

Author Luncheons – As well-known authors and illustrators are invited to our Media Center to share about their work, our Partners in Education are called upon to provide lunch for them and many of our students who are also invited to lunch with these very important guests.

Tiger Pride – As our classes earn their rewards for exemplary behavior, our Partners in Education have provided those rewards to each deserving classroom.

Star Students – As our students earn their stars for exceptional behavior, our Partners in Education have provided the reward to each student.

Birthday Cakes -  Each month, our birthday students are honored and celebrated with a lovely and delicious cake, compliments of the school or our Partners in Education.  What a treat!

Family Night Outs – Twice a month, we are able to have school fundraisers at one of our Partners in Education through these events.  A percentage of all proceeds goes back to our school.

Grocery Cards – Our grocery store Partners contribute funds back to our school through your participation of the Grocery Card Program.

Gardening/Environmental Materials – Our Partners in Education have contributed not only an exceptional amount of materials, but hours upon hours of their time and hard work to improve our landscaping and beautify our school.

PTA/School Fundraisers – Our Partners in Education are always willing to help our school earn money.  They support us in any way they can give or do.

Annual Dinner Theatre – For the past 5 years, our annual Fourth Grade Musical Dinner Theatre has been sponsored by our Partners in Education.  Hundreds of dinners each year are contributed by our business community and our Partners in Education.

Reading/Mentoring – Our Partners in Education have volunteer programs in place which enable their employees to help tutor and mentor our students, an invaluable contribution.

Extra Hands – Our Partners in Education look forward to contributing their time when additional volunteers are needed to assist teachers or just lend a hand.  A perfect example of this is our Field Days. 

As mentioned, this is only a sampling of the various ways our Partners in Education have and continue to support Manning Oaks.
